Programme

The description and discussion of EU policies is put into the context of global trends and developments. Special attention is given to the concepts of good governance, human rights, gender equality and women’s empowerment, as well as on international climate action, the fight against illegal drugs, and the domain of global health.

Methodology

In order to maximise its practical usefulness, the programme comprises a broad mix of academic analyses, critical discussion and the training of soft and practical skills. In interactive exercises, participants are able to sharpen their analytical capabilities, management and negotiation skills, as well as crisis management and conflict resolution strategies. The training consists of theoretical and practical oriented training modules with renowned Austrian and international experts, trainers & practitioners.

Module 2: Good Governance, Human Rights, Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment

Module 3: Diplomatic Skills

The programme is held via Zoom. A stable internet connection is required.

Please note that this is an intensive half-day online training course.

The Executive Training Programme is organised by the Diplomatische Akademie Wien – Vienna School of International Studies in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs and the Austrian Development Cooperation.
