The students of the Diplomatische Akademie Wien - Vienna School of International Studies are organising their 29th annual Charity Ball under the motto "Harmony Across Borders". We are delighted to invite you to an event that focuses on bringing forth solidarity and compassion with those around us.

The annual Charity Ball, with its unwavering support throughout the years to multiple charitable organisations, hopes to once again continue this tradition. We are delighted to be opening the doors of the Diplomatische Akademie Wien to our distinguished guests for a night of celebrations and generosity.

The proceeds from the 2024 Charity Ball will be donated to the Solidarity Group Afghanistan.

The Charity

The Solidarity Group Afghanistan, our chosen beneficiary, was founded to aid needy families, provide home schooling for girls, and implement water supply projects in Afghanistan. The organisation also informs the Austrian public about the situation in Afghanistan and fosters exchange between Afghan refugees and Austrian communities. Given the challenges faced by women and girls, the group prioritises educational opportunities for Afghan girls and the creation of employment opportunities for female teachers.

0:30 - 4:00 am Music and entertainment in the Festsaal and the Musikzimmer

The DA does not offer parking possibilities for external guests. Nearby options include: Payuca Garage at Taubstummengasse 3, Garage Argentinierstraße 29 and Parkhaus Floragasse 7A.

Dress Code

The dress code is gala.

Ladies: Floor-length evening dress, mess dress uniform, formal national costume (below the knee). Please note that white dresses shall be reserved for debutantes.
Men: Dinner jacket / tuxedo, smoking with bow tie, mess dress uniform or formal national costume (below the knee).
