The Diplomatische Akademie Wien – Vienna School of International Studies proudly congratulates the graduating cohorts of 2026. Over the course of two memorable days, we celebrated the achievements of our students as they completed an important chapter of their academic and personal journeys.
During their time at the DA, this year's graduates have demonstrated intellectual curiosity, resilience and a strong commitment to international cooperation. They have not only excelled academically but have also enriched our community through student society activities, conferences, study trips, cultural events, sports, volunteer initiatives and countless moments of exchange that define life at the DA.
Each programme equipped our students with a distinct set of knowledge and skills while sharing the common goal of preparing global leaders for an increasingly interconnected world.
The graduates of the 62nd Diploma Programme (DLG), "Omnia mutantur, nihil interit", have completed an intensive interdisciplinary year combining international relations, political science, economics, international and European law, contemporary history and multilingual language training with practical skills in negotiation, rhetoric, media relations and diplomacy. The Diploma Programme provided the students with an outstanding foundation for international careers by combining academic excellence with practical preparation.
The 29th Master of Advanced International Studies (MAIS) cohort, "Ragazzi", graduated from the DA's joint Master's programme with the University of Vienna. Throughout two years of interdisciplinary study, they have developed advanced expertise in international relations through political science, economics, history, international and European law, while strengthening their research, analytical and policy skills to address today's complex global challenges and prepare for careers in international organisations, government, business and academia.
The 18th Master of Science in Environmental Technology and International Affairs (ETIA) cohort, the "EnvironMentals", graduated from the programme organised in cooperation with the TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education. By combining international affairs with scientific and technical expertise, they have explored environmental technology, climate change, sustainable development, resource and energy management alongside legal, political and economic perspectives, preparing them to tackle some of the most pressing sustainability challenges of our time.
As the first-ever graduating cohort of the Master of Science in Digital International Affairs (DIA), the "Architecti Concordiae Digitalis", these graduates have helped shape a pioneering programme organised in cooperation with UIBK Weiterbildung of the University of Innsbruck. Through studies in digital diplomacy, cybersecurity, international law, economics, artificial intelligence, data analysis and programming, they have developed the expertise needed to navigate and shape the rapidly evolving digital landscape of international relations.
Across all programmes, our graduates have gained far more than academic knowledge. They have learned to think critically across disciplines, communicate across cultures, work in diverse international teams and approach complex global challenges with analytical rigour, openness and integrity. From study trips to Brussels, the Western Balkans, the Baltic Sea Region, Geneva and beyond, to engaging with distinguished practitioners and scholars from around the world, they have embraced every opportunity to broaden their perspectives.
Today, our graduates join a global alumni network whose members contribute to diplomacy, international organisations, public administration, business, academia, journalism and civil society across the world. We are confident that they will carry the values of the DA into their future careers and continue to make meaningful contributions to international cooperation and dialogue.
